Smart Aquatics is a design and consulting firm based in Miami, Florida. Our firm is operated by second generation pool pro, Jonny Nalepa who has spent most of his life in the outdoor living and swimming pool industry. But we aren't in the outdoor living business...We're in the customer service business. Smart Aquatics aims to bring you the absolute best in design and consulting by surrounding ourselves with like-minded and talented individuals as well as a professional network of partners in specialized fields.
We work with homeowners, contractors, architects, landscape architects, and developers to provide original design concepts, 3D renderings, hydraulics, construction drawings, on-site consulting, and more...Smart Aquatics specializes in luxury outdoor living design with a focus on pools, spas and water elements of all kinds. We offer design and consulting services for virtually any application including acrylic panels, automatic pool covers, custom mosaic tile, fire features, fiber optic star lights, lazy rivers, movable pool floors, stainless steel vessels, underwater speakers and more.

Pools and water features are fully functioning bodies of water that require precise hydraulic calculations in order to achieve beautiful watery aesthetics like infinity edges and water walls. Smart Aquatics provides precise hydraulic designs moving a larger volume of water, slower through piping in order to reduce velocity and increase energy efficiency. Our plumbing and equipment specifications exceed local and national velocity requirements, reducing backpressure and resistance within piping which increases equipment efficiency and longevity.

A pool is only as good as its plans.
We pride ourselves in providing some of the absolute best construction documents in the business. Our plans are highly detailed making it easier for you to read and reference in-field during construction. A set of Smart Aquatics CD's include everything from site plans, plan views, plumbing layouts, piling layouts, sections, isometrics, lighting, heating, automation, specialty edge conditions, hydraulics, equipment layouts and equipment specifications. Our plans are signed and sealed by a licensed engineer ready to submit for permit. We work with homeowners, contractors architects, landscape architects, and developers to provide a quality set of plans to build from.
ON-SITE CONSULTING
In-field experience
Projects may begin in the office but they are finished in the field. At Smart Aquatics, we have extensive in-field experience from a second generation pool professional who can oversee project progress and of all sizes. We will ensure your project is designed, coordinated and constructed properly.
